Online Love

There has always been a stigma around online dating. Finding a lover online seems a bit weird to the majority of people. Sometimes I can see where they’re coming from but at other times I cannot. I’m one of those people who have found love online. Tinder to be specific. I initially made it to meet new people and have friends but of course it led to something else. My mom is ine of those people who find online dating to be very scary especially when it comes to her daughter. I always thought I’d meet my future lover in high school or college. I’ve never had a boyfriend until the one I met on Timder. We’ve been together for almost 2 years in March. And he’s really something. My friend always meets this weird people but the few I was talking to online seemed to be quite nice or maybe they just wanted one thing. However, I was lucky enough to meet the love of my life. But for awhile I was ashamed that we met online. I still tell my mom we met on Twitter so I won’t have to say we met on a dating site where I’ve swiped left or right onto different types of men. When I visited my family in the East Coast I was quite anxious to tell them where we met but they were completely fine with it and were quite happy and excited for us. The stigma that society puts on online dating has devoured me. But I’m slwoly creeping out of it because I’m living proof that online dating can lead to true love. You just have to find that right one. We are 60 miles or so away from each other which isn’t too bad but it’s something. He’s loyal, sweet, caring, funny, strong and independent and that’s everything I could want from a man. If you ever feel like you can’t find anyone, try to resort to online dating. You may stumble upon your true love. A few people I know have been with their boyfriends they met online for more than a year. There are good guys out there and they resort to online dating too sometimes. The stigma has to end. The main focus should be about who you met not where or how you guys met.
